Uploading Guidelines
Fiend's Fridge has only a few rules regarding what you can post, but they are very important. If you break them, Fiend will be very sad. You wouldn't want that, would you?

  1. Common Sense
    This is not an image dumping site. Don't upload anything you didn't make. No video game screenshots, no pictures of your favorite J-pop hotties with text photoshopped over the top, no art drawn by somebody else. Period.

  2. Theme
    Fiend's Fridge is a themed gallery, centering around monsters, spooks, strange creatures, adorable freaks, grotesqueries, and charmingly-ugly human beings. Please note that overly-pretty cookie-cutter "demons" with animal parts stuck on like fashion accessories do not count as a part of this theme. While not every drawing you upload has to be "on topic", your gallery as a whole must show that you are not a stranger to the quirky and bizarre.

  3. Quality
    You don't have to be the next Frank Frazetta to upload here, but in the interests of restricting the Common Internet Swarming Teenager (Juvenilis interwebensis) to its natural habitats, certain "styles" of art lifted wholly from popular animated works are not allowed. This applies especially, but not exclusively, to the following:
    1. That particular guitar-pick-faced, glassy-eyed "anime" look so popular in modern Japanese cartooning.
    2. Balto dogs, lion kings, spirit horses, and other things lifted from modern blockbuster Disney/Dreamworks/etc films.
    3. Sonic the Hedgehog.
    4. Jhonen Vasquez.
    5. Anything else stiff, trendy, and easy to copy.

    This is not to say that you can't draw some inspiration from any of these things, just that they must obviously not be your only inspirations.

    This rule applies doubly to fan art. Reinvent characters as tributes, don't copy them from the model sheet.

  4. Adult Content
    Like every mature monster, Fiend has some magazines with dirty pictures stashed under his bed. He doesn't mind a few of them on his fridge either, but he would prefer the focus stay on art rather than on pornography. As such, the theme and quality rules are enforced with extra strictness on smutty submissions, and all adult art must meet the following requirements:

    1. No one under the age of 18 may upload adult content.
    2. At the advice of Fiend's lawyers, no photographic nudity is allowed. Drawings only.
    3. All adult art must be properly filtered. Anything involving boners genital arousal or sexual acts must have the "graphic sexuality" box checked, and anything involving suggestive nudity (or near-nudity) must have the "mild sexuality" box checked.
    4. As monsters are people too, Fiend has no quarrel with fantasy xenophilia. However, all characters depicted in sexual situations must:
      1. Appear to be well into their post-pubescent years, i.e. obviously at something like the age of consent. NO KIDDY PORN.
      2. Appear to be sapient, i.e. possessing the intellect of a mentally-healthy adult human being. NO DOG-HUMPING.
      3. Appear to be in a situation which is consensual enough to not be causing them large amounts of psychological harm. NO RAPE.
