Artist's Description:
Oh boy, something to show for my Printmaking class.

I actually finished this a while ago but had a hard time getting a good photo taken of it. It's way too big to scan XD.

It's a classical Etching. The process in a nutshell is that you coat a Zinc plate in a hardground (like a black film) and then you use sharp tools to draw on the plate to expose the metal. Then you dip that bitch in acid to etch the linework, and after you clean it and do final touches you can wipe inks on it and print it on a press. SO THAT'S WHAT I DID HERE. I chose to do a dragon cause I wanted to see how much detail I can get with etching. IT CAME OUT OKAY, EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO APPY INK TO ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS AND PRINT IT. FGKDFGSDH

Printmaking is really fun, but I doubt I'd pursue it professionally. I got other prints I need to take photos of for you guys.

And yes, I did nothing but do prints of horrific monsters.

the Professor was highly amused by my love of making the next critter more ugly than the last. BEST EVER.
